Overview of superficies licences for public water bodies web map
The Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority, in cooperation with the Land and Spatial Development Board, has prepared a map application for building permits for public water bodies. The map displays the spatial shape and data of building permit applications submitted to the CPTRA and issued building permits. The data displayed on the map application is managed by the CPTRA.
The map application was created due to great public interest, as previously information on building permit applications was only available in the CPTRA document management system. This map application allows for a visual overview of various applications and the areas applied for. It is an informative tool for all interested parties.
A building permit is a temporary right to encumber a delimited part of a public water body with a structure permanently connected to its bottom, which is not permanently connected to the shore. Building permits are issued by the CPTRA and are the basis for applying for a building permit, and a building permit can be applied for for up to 50 years. For example, building permits are issued for offshore wind farms, fish cages, various water routes and pipelines, and the building permit holder is required to pay an annual building fee to the state as the owner of the public water body.
