Overview of Hereditary Culture web map
The web map has been developed in cooperation with the State Forest Management Centre (RMK) and the Environmental Information Centre (now Environmental Agency). The web map displays heritage objects and related information.
In 2005-2007, within the framework of the INTERREG IIIa programme projects "Protection and implementation of forestry heritage culture" and "Emphasis on forestry heritage culture in nature tourism", the landscape has been searched, described and landowners and local governments have been informed about the cultural values currently on their lands in four counties - Harju, Järva, Lääne and Rapla counties.
In 2009-2010, work on the project "Heritage values as part of a common environmental and cultural space" has continued in Põlva, Tartu, Valga and Võru counties within the Estonian-Latvian programme.
In 2009-2011, within the framework of the INTERREG IVa program project "Forestry Heritage Culture - Expander of Common Cultural Space", heritage culture was mapped in the following counties: Hiiu, Saare, Pärnu, Viljandi, Ida-Viru and Lääne-Viru.
The lead partner of all projects has been the State Forest Management Centre.
