Overview of ESTHub satellite images web map
ESTHub is a national satellite data hub through which users can search and download data from the Copernicus program. ESTHub also offers state agencies the opportunity to process data. ESTHub collects Sentinel and Landsat-8 data for the Estonian area of interest and offers fast download of this data.
Satellite data is also available to users in the Satiladu web application (https://satiladu.maaamet.ee/), where the data is updated every day and is available to those interested the same evening. With the help of the Satiladu interactive map application, it is possible to assess the potential added value of satellite data for your specialty, and it is also possible to create original map layers and share them with others. The focus is on introducing the use of different parts of the light spectrum and the most important land cover indices. A map layer in standard colors is also available for comparison.
Due to the need to implement Sentinel-2 satellite images and false color images developed in the Satiladu environment together with XGIS map layers, the ESTHub map application for displaying Sentinel-2 data was completed in May 2023. The map application offers users a variety of functional basemaps and allows you to change the date you are looking for to view the satellite image via the preview bar in the right menu. Satellite images are updated in the map application every day.
